LifuKids — an AI-powered learning platform for young children
How we designed, built, and shipped lifukids.com and the LifuKids content pipeline end to end — from product concept to a live web platform plus YouTube and Spotify content.
- Product engineering
- AWS cloud architecture
- Content pipeline
Problem
Families with young children need engaging, safe, and genuinely educational content — but most “kids screen time” products are noisy entertainment or thinly disguised ads. We wanted to build a learning-first product we controlled end to end: a web platform parents trust, a growing catalogue of stories and lessons children enjoy, and a content engine that can scale without a large production team.
Approach
We treated LifuKids as a full product build, not a website project. We started with brand and design system — a playful, child-friendly identity distinct from the PkoLabs corporate style — then built a fast static web platform on Astro and Tailwind CSS, served from AWS S3 behind CloudFront for speed and global reach.
Behind the platform sits an AI-assisted content pipeline: our kids story generator — an agentic framework on Google ADK with Gemini — drafts stories, generates illustrations, and produces narration automatically, with human review at each stage. The finished content distributes across YouTube and Spotify, giving families multiple ways to access it.
The entire infrastructure is Terraform-managed and deployed through GitHub Actions CI/CD —
a single git push to the right branch updates the site. No manual deploys, no
drift between environments.
Result
lifukids.com is live, fast, and cheap to run. The content catalogue grows steadily through the agentic pipeline without scaling a creative team, and the infrastructure-as-code foundation means we can extend the platform — new content types, new distribution channels — without rebuilding from scratch.
LifuKids is also our proving ground. The same patterns we use here — Astro + S3 + CloudFront hosting, Terraform IaC, agentic content pipelines — are the patterns we bring to client engagements. We run them ourselves before we recommend them.
